Hey, I'm Candy! In 2003, I picked up 'Blue Like Jazz' by Donald Miller, then I read his book 'Searching for God Knows What'. These books changed the way I thought about critical thinking. They gave me permission to ask better questions and to pursue truth with curiosity.Then I found 'Love Does' by Bob Goff and read it because Donald Miller wrote the foreword, so I knew the book would be a thinker! Bob's message challenged me to stop just collecting my ideas, and to start living them. Since college I had filled over a hundred journals with research, questions, and observations from my work in early childhood education, my study of neuroplasticity, and my own life experiences. Journals were a landmark staple in my life and my desire to create and paint journals for others became a hobby.

In 2025 I attended Bob Goff's Writer's Retreat at The Oaks, and this was my turning point. All my years of journaling and research finally had a purpose! So I wrote them all into one big manuscript. My book 'Marching Forth' grew legs, came to life, and was finally published. But there is still SO much more I want to share with you about how small children communicate, brain development, healing, connection, and becoming [more authentically] who God created you to be. Thank you for being here from the very beginning. I can't wait to share this journey with you!
