About Candy
Candy Washburne is a passionate advocate for early brain development. She has taught toddlers and preschoolers since 1996 and studied Early Childhood Development at the University of North Texas.
Her journey to writing started with a journal. Years of quiet reflection, and encounters with the writing of Donald Miller and Bob Goff, shaped the manuscript that became Marching Forth.
She has been married to her husband, Gene, since 1999, and they have raised three children. Outside of writing and childcare, she enjoys running and camping.
